
Beach Guide
Cyprus is blessed with extensive beaches with clear blue azure waters around Protaras,Limassol ans Paphos. The Mediterranean waters and golden sands create beaches to suit every mood and season, from full-on action watersports to quiet, secluded bays.
Zias Beach Club
Aphrodite Hills has its own private beach located near Avdimou. It offers sandy, child – friendly beach, beach facilities (sun beds, umbrellas, towels), a bar two restaurants. It is a quiet and tranquil hideaway perfect to wind away those lazy summer days by the sea.
Pissouri Bay
The closest lifeguard manned beach to resort. The beach itself is a sand pebble mix but the waters are crystal clear and this lively bay has cafes, restaurants and watersports aplenty. If you are lucky enough you may see some turtles in late September.
Coralia Beach
Little known by tourists yet only a 5 minute drive past the busy Coral Bay beach in Paphos. White sands, calm sea and views of the Coral Bay hotel pier make this the perfect beach to unwind on. Set in a small bay, there are plenty of good snorkelling spots and a couple of nice eateries close by if you fancy a bit to eat.
Polis
There are some stunning beaches situated along the CHRYSOCHOU bay from Polis to Pachyamos. Fishing, boat trips and sailing are the best in the area from here. Great for snorkelling.
Akamas Peninsula
The Akamas national park is well worth checking out if you are into discovering secluded beaches and bays. LARA beach is a turtle sanctuary and the coast is unspoilt and great for picnics. A natural and undisturbed world that is best accessed with a 4x4.
Aphrodites Rock
A good place to stop off for a quick dip and an opportunity to test the fable that says if you swim around the rock anti- clockwise at midnight in your birthday suit you will achieve eternal youth. By day the sights are less concerning and the waters are clear with a sense of history as this is where Aphrodite is supposed to have risen from the waves, naked of course.
Kourion
Kourion is a sandy blue flag beach with a gentle shoreline situated below the roman amphitheatre. Great for swimming and relaxing more popular with locals then tourists.
Other Beaches
Limassol Area
Dasoudi Beach
A long sandy 2km stretch of beach with breakwaters, making it perfect for children. There are bars, cafes, restaurants and watersport facilities on this popular family beach.
Governors Beach
A sandy beach with shallow clear waters, ideal for families and couples as the western sunsets are stunning. The area is fantastic for snorkelling, boating and fishing.
Ladies Mile
The perfect beach for children and families due to the crystal clear shallow waters and the golden sand that stretches for miles. Lots of inflatable’s and activities for kids. popular for windsurfing. Gentlemen welcome too.
Larnaka Area
CTO Beach, Dhekelia Road
The facilities on this popular beach were established by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation. There are restaurants, volleyball courts and a good bbq area for families. Perfect on summer evenings.
Faros Beach, Perivolia
The best kite-surfing beach in the area. Winds and south, southwesterly and particularly good in the summer months. Good for participants and spectators alike.
Famagusta Area
Nissi Bay
If standing on the beaches looking at the peaches is your thing, this is the place for you. Gets very busy so get there early to secure the best spot. Lots of watersports and bungee jumping available. White sands, clear waters.
Fig Tree Bay
Just outside Protaras this bay bustles with life. Soft sand, clear waters with a small craggy island offshore which attracts swimmers, migrating birds and sea life.
